Metaphorically, a picture is worth a thousand words they say. So mathematically, a thousand pictures must be worth a thousand thousand words. And so always being good at math, I've collected chronologically some of my hiyaks into Adobe PDF slide shows or lately Windows Media Videos (WMV). Most pictures I took but a tiny few are friends' or family.
Art and science are usually difficult fields rarely melded. Photography provides one such unusual occasion. A great picture needs a scientist’s knowledge of exposure, focal lengths, and lighting, but equally important are an artist’s creativity, imagination and feelings.
Even in Hawaii, I've learned how difficult it is to take a great picture. But hopefully you’ll see some visual jewels that’ll help you appreciate the addictiveness of hiyaking Hawaii.
